World History Honors Overview
Welcome to World History! I am excited to begin a new school year and looking forward to a rigorous, yet fun-filled year. Let me say right away that I have the highest expectations of each and every one of you. It should be your goal to earn an A in this class and I am here to do everything I can to help you achieve at the highest level. During the course of this year please do not hesitate to ask me questions and seek extra help when necessary
The Purpose of this course is to enable students to understand their connections to the development of civilizations by examining the past to prepare for their future as participating members of a global community. Students will use knowledge pertaining to history, geography, economics, political processes, religion, ethics, diverse cultures, and humanities to solve problems in academic, civil, social, and employment settings.
